Adult Intensive Outpatient Program at Hendricks Behavioral Hospital
The Adult Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is part of the continuum of care offered for adults (18 and over) and can be used as a step-down from inpatient care, or a possible preventative to inpatient placement.

Patients admitted to IOP require more intensive services than traditional outpatient therapy and do not meet the criteria for inpatient hospitalization. The goal of the program is to prevent hospitalization, re-hospitalization and provide a high level of mental health care for patients to reach a higher level of functioning and meet their treatment goals. Adults may participate in our traditional in-person IOP or virtually.

Adult IOP is offered 5 days per week. Attendance is required 3 days per week, 3 hours per day, and is led by Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs), Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselors (LCACs) or Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHCs). Individual sessions, medication management, and discharge planning are part of IOP services.
