Ryan with pet therapy

Hendricks Behavioral Hospital has expanded our activity therapy to include more services to enhance the experience of our patients. We now have a licensed board-certified behavior analyst coming in twice a week for our Thrive and Foundations units through the company Kids Count Therapy. They will also be offering speech and language pathology and occupational therapy very soon. We also offer yoga with a licensed instructor 3 to 4 times a week with Invoke Yoga. Our most recent additions are adding pet therapy through Paws and Think 2 to 4 times a week, and have recently added martial arts with Indiana Martial Arts Saturday evenings. Coming in August will be a partnership with Emmanuel Church’s community outreach program to bring in a trauma specialist for our Empower unit to offer weekly spiritual programs. Each of these programs will enhance the already robust programming we offer which assists patients in identifying their individual triggers and to develop self-regulation skills.

Hendricks Behavioral Hospital provides a no cost assessment for individuals 13 years and older struggling with mental health issues. The hospital also provides adult psychiatric, dual diagnosis and detox services for opiates, alcohol and benzodiazepines. Our Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are available for both adults and adolescents ages 13 to 17. IOP is offered Monday through Friday and clients may attend in person or virtually. For information on scheduling an assessment, individuals may call 844-991-9900.
