Judy Bannister is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor. With over 25 years of experience, Judy has worked with a range of clients in the community, incarcerated, homeless, individuals with severe mental health and substance use diagnoses, at risk children and families, group therapy, developmental disabilities, and nonprofit community mental health. Judy is trained in and uses Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Processing Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Relaxation/Mindfulness Techniques, and Parent Child Attachment and Play Therapy Modalities to name a few. She has extensive training in treating childhood trauma, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and substance use disorders.
In her spare time, Judy enjoys spending time with her four children and partner. She also enjoys taking walks with her four dogs, reading, cooking, and traveling.
